East Anglian Railway Wedding

When this enquiry came through, it made me sit up and think – an East Anglian Railway wedding at a train station?

During my 10 years as a wedding photographer, I’ve covered a lot of different venue types but this sounded very interesting to me – something quirky and fun that presented a challenge.

We started the day with Shelley and her bridal party at a beautiful little college nestled away in the Essex countryside, before heading off to meet Lewis and his groomsmen at a local pub not far from the venue.

Once the gents had finished their pint(s), we made our way to a very welcoming and quaint little church just a few minutes walk away. I really hope that the photographs do the church justice as it was a lovely building with tremendous character.

Following the ceremony, the guests climbed aboard an old routemaster bus for a short trip to the East Anglian Railway Museum. The effort that Shelley and Lewis had put into decorating this place was immediately apparent, and hopefully that comes through in the photos. Add to that a vintage ice cream van (Molly Moo Ices) and the day was complete.

Here’s the story of their day…
