Steve and Robin / The Lawn

Steve & Robin: Yeah, the jackets…

The Lawn Rochford wedding of Steve & Robin in March 2018. What a brilliant wedding! Snow, sequin blazers, two great grooms and a room full of wonderful guests. The perfect cocktail for any wedding!

Having met Steve and Robin a few months prior I knew straight away that this wedding would be a special one. Sometimes you just know a wedding will be great and this had everything, then add snow!

The venue, The Lawn Rochford Wedding Venue. The Idyllic manor house in the Rochford countryside is the perfect setting for photographers. Endless green backdrops (snow permitting!), stunning manor house surroundings and a lovely long driveway to work with.

Steve and Robin got ready together in ‘The Groom Room’ whilst the guests slowly arrived and marvelled at the venue.

The highlight of the day for me was the arrival of the Grooms with their bespoke green/blue sequinned blazers that nobody knew about. The silent ceremony room waited whilst Steve and Robin slowly started the walk down the Lawn’s famous staircase. You could cut the tension with a knife. Suddenly they come into sight and the room howls with laughter and bursts in applause. What a moment! Every bit of pressure the boys had been feeling had evaporated in an instant. The day had really started.

I was delighted to get out in the snow with the sequin jackets, and although Steve and Robin didn’t seem as keen at the time, they were having too much fun mingling! we’re all delighted with how the outside portraits turned out. I have to say they’re some of my favourite images from the day.

I wish Steve and Robin all the best in the future, they’re a really special couple who I loved being around. Thanks again for entrusting me to document your special day.
