Wedding tips · from nearly 1,000 weddings
The morning is half the day. Get it right.
Most of what goes wrong on a wedding day goes wrong before midday, and most of it is avoidable. These are the things I tell every couple I photograph.
After nearly a thousand weddings you notice patterns. The couples who have the best day are rarely the ones with the biggest budget or the most detailed timeline. They are the ones who ate breakfast, got ready in a room with a window, gave the small jobs to someone else and then let the day happen.
None of this is about photographs, exactly. But a relaxed morning is where the good photographs come from, so I have written down what works and what, frankly, doesn’t. Pick your side.
