Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Your Cornish
wedding, as it actually happened.

Documentary. Natural. Cinematic.Documentary photography for couples marrying across Cornwall — from clifftop forts above Whitsand Bay to woodland barns deep in the Cornish countryside. Natural, unposed, cinematic.

The approach

Real moments don't wait for a photographer to be ready.

My approach is documentary — I'm there to observe, anticipate and capture, not to direct. For most of the day you won't know I'm shooting.

That said, I'm not invisible. Where a little guidance helps — finding the light for portraits, a quiet word before the first dance — I'll offer it. Gently, briefly, and then I'm gone again. The photographs look natural because the moments were.

Cornwall is some of the most photogenic country in England. Golden coastal light, ancient estates, converted barns full of character. Every wedding here is different — every landscape demands something new.

950+ weddings in. Every single one documented the same way — exactly as it happened, as it actually felt.

Cornish wedding venues

Venues I love shooting in Cornwall

From clifftop forts on Whitsand Bay to Georgian estates hidden down private Cornish lanes — I photograph weddings at some of the most beautiful venues in the county. If your venue isn't listed, get in touch.

Boconnoc Estate

A private Georgian country house estate in South East Cornwall. Four reception rooms, an 800-year-old church, and total seclusion. Gold winner, Best Wedding Venue Cornwall 2025/26.

Polhawn Fort

A Napoleonic fort perched on the Cornish clifftops above Whitsand Bay. Exclusive use, private beach access, panoramic Atlantic views — one of the most dramatic venues in England.

Trevenna

142 acres of Cornish countryside. Lovingly restored historic barns, a farm kitchen, meadows and gardens. Up to 120 guests across three private days of exclusive use.

Pencarrow

The Georgian home of the Molesworth-St Aubyn family. Grade II* listed gardens, four event rooms, and a wonderfully relaxed approach to the day. Up to 250 guests.

Nancarrow Farm

Five lovingly converted barns tucked into the heart of a working farm. Rustic, relaxed, and full of natural light — a favourite with couples who want something intimate and genuine.

Lusty Glaze

A private beach in a sheltered cove near Newquay. Arguably the most unique ceremony setting in Cornwall — waves as your soundtrack, golden sand, dramatic cliffs.

What couples say
★★★★★

“I knew I had to have you as our photographer — and my husband said the next day ‘I now get it why we had to have him.’ Your photos are nothing short of amazing, and you’ve got a wicked sense of humour too.”

Lauren & Danny — Herefordshire

★★★★★

“After our initial consultation we knew we’d have no hesitation booking Matt. On the day he made us feel completely at ease, always there to anticipate the perfect shot. He truly immortalised our day.”

Mr & Mrs Danesi — Essex

★★★★★

“As two fairly awkward people who hate having photos taken, he was exactly the photographer we needed. In the nicest way possible we barely realised he was there — and the photos are extraordinary.”

Lucy & Rob
