The house photographs well in every direction, which is rarer than it sounds. Most country houses have one good side and a car park on the other; this one has frontage wide enough to take a group of any size without anyone disappearing, and parkland behind it to get far enough back.
The ceremony room is the easy part of the day. Light comes down the length of it to a long window at the end of the aisle, so an afternoon ceremony needs no flash and no wrangling — the room simply works.
In the evening it goes the other way: the lights come up, the room turns, and the floor fills early.

The ground in front of the house is where the portraits happen — ten minutes late in the day, no shot list, nobody posed, and back with your guests before anyone notices.

How I work a day here
Nothing is posed. I photograph the day as it actually happens, from close enough to hear the joke and far enough not to be in it.
Silent shutter all day and no flash at all until the dancefloor, so the ceremony and the speeches stay undisturbed.
Confetti on the gravel. Two lines, not a ring.
Once the lights come up, I stop directing anything at all.
