Wiltshire Wedding Photographer

Your Wiltshire
wedding, as it actually happened.

Documentary. Natural. Cinematic.Documentary photography for couples marrying across Wiltshire — from grand country houses on Salisbury Plain to converted barns in the Vale of Pewsey. Natural, unposed, cinematic.

The approach

Real moments don't wait for a photographer to be ready.

My approach is documentary — I’m there to observe, anticipate and capture, not to direct. For most of the day you won’t know I’m shooting.

That said, I’m not invisible. Where a little guidance helps — finding the light for portraits, a quiet word before the first dance — I’ll offer it. Gently, briefly, and then I’m gone again. The photographs look natural because the moments were.

Wiltshire surprises people. Ancient landscapes, rolling chalk downland, the edge of the Cotswolds — and some extraordinary venues that most couples outside the county don’t know exist. I shoot here regularly and it never gets old.

Nearly 1,000 weddings in. Every single one documented the same way — exactly as it happened, as it actually felt.

Venues I love shooting in Wiltshire

From grand country houses on Salisbury Plain to converted barns in the Vale of Pewsey — I photograph weddings at some of the most beautiful venues in the county. If your venue isn't listed, get in touch.

Bowood House

A stunning Robert Adam mansion in 100 acres of Capability Brown parkland near Calne. One of Wiltshire’s grandest estates — orangery, terraced gardens, lake and woodland walks.

Euridge Manor

A beautiful 18th century manor near Chippenham with walled garden, parkland and a wonderfully relaxed approach to weddings. Exclusive use, up to 150 guests.

Lacock Abbey

A National Trust medieval abbey near Chippenham — one of England’s most extraordinary buildings. Cloisters, sacristy, great hall. Every photograph here feels like it belongs in another century.

Hatch House

A privately owned 17th century manor house near Tisbury with walled garden and sweeping Wiltshire countryside views. Intimate, exclusive use, and genuinely beautiful.

The Great Barn

A stunning 16th century tithe barn at Barford St Martin near Salisbury. Original beams, flagstone floors, natural light — a venue that photographs itself effortlessly.

Newhouse Hotel

A unique Y-shaped Jacobean hunting lodge near Redlynch with 24 bedrooms and a relaxed country house atmosphere. Exclusive use, intimate, and surrounded by beautiful Wiltshire woodland.

What couples say
★★★★★

“I knew I had to have you as our photographer — and my husband said the next day ‘I now get it why we had to have him.’ Your photos are nothing short of amazing, and you’ve got a wicked sense of humour too.”

Lauren & Danny — Herefordshire

★★★★★

“After our initial consultation we knew we’d have no hesitation booking Matt. On the day he made us feel completely at ease, always there to anticipate the perfect shot. He truly immortalised our day.”

Mr & Mrs Danesi — Essex

★★★★★

“As two fairly awkward people who hate having photos taken, he was exactly the photographer we needed. In the nicest way possible we barely realised he was there — and the photos are extraordinary.”
