Wiltshire is new ground for me. That is exactly why I want it.
Chalk downland, tithe barns, long views and some of the best light in the South West. I have not photographed enough weddings in it, and I would like to change that.
The approach
Documentary photography. Nobody gets posed.
I photograph the day as it actually happens, quietly, from close enough to hear the joke and far enough not to be in it. No shot lists, no group-photo marathon, no standing people in a field at golden hour because a website said so.
Nearly a thousand weddings have gone into learning how to do that without anyone noticing me doing it.
Being straight with you
No Wiltshire weddings yet, and I would rather say so.
Plenty of photographers will imply a local expertise they do not have. I would rather tell you the truth and let the work argue for itself: nearly a thousand weddings of reading a room, absorbing a running order that has slipped by forty minutes, and knowing which five minutes of the day actually matter.
Where I do not know a venue I go and walk it beforehand, at the hour your ceremony falls, and I speak to the coordinator well before the morning of. That is the part most people skip.
I photograph the whole day, from the quiet bit in the morning to the dancefloor. Nobody is counting hours, because I do not sell them.
I am based in Newquay, and Wiltshire is a straightforward run up the A30 and A303. Travel is included in the price and I stay locally the night before where it makes sense.

Silent shutter all day. No flash at all until the dancefloor, which is why people stop noticing me by about eleven o’clock.
Two Sony A9 III bodies on me and two A9 II in the bag. Dual cards in everything, backed up on site through the day.
Included at no extra charge when the venue and the rules allow it. I check before the day, so nothing is promised that cannot be flown.
