Hampshire is the easy end of the South East run. I want more weddings in it.
Georgian houses in the Test Valley, barn conversions on the edge of the New Forest, and a county I have worked — just nowhere near as often as I would like to.
The approach
Documentary wedding photography in Hampshire. Nothing staged.
I photograph the day as it actually happens, quietly, from close enough to hear the joke and far enough not to be in it. No group-photo marathon and nothing staged: a short family list, a few relaxed portraits with gentle direction, and the rest exactly as it happens.
Being straight with you
I have worked here. I am not going to pretend I have worked here a lot.
I have photographed weddings across Hampshire, and where I have not worked a venue before, I go and walk it first. What I do bring is the craft, which travels: nearly a thousand weddings of reading a room, absorbing a running order that has slipped by forty minutes, and knowing which five minutes of the day actually matter.
The most recent was a multi-day Sikh and Hindu celebration that ran from a ceremony in Hounslow to a reception here in Hampshire — the full gallery is on the site. Big, loud, three days long, and photographed the same way I photograph everything else.
Where I do not know a venue I go and walk it beforehand, at the hour your ceremony falls, and I speak to the coordinator well before the morning of. That is the part most people skip.
I photograph the whole day, from the quiet bit in the morning to the dancefloor. Nobody is counting hours, because I do not sell them.
I am based in Cornwall and come up the night before where it makes sense. The drive is never on your invoice.

Perfectly happy with them, and I have photographed several. Extra days are quoted simply and separately.
The sun sets around 9.25pm in late June, 7.20pm in mid-September and 4.00pm in December.
