The approach

Documentary wedding photography in Cambridgeshire. Nothing staged.

I photograph the day as it actually happens, quietly, from close enough to hear the joke and far enough not to be in it. No group-photo marathon and nothing staged: a short family list, a few relaxed portraits with gentle direction, and the rest exactly as it happens.

What the years buy

Years of weddings here, and most of them at two addresses.

Most of my Cambridgeshire weddings have been at Swynford Manor, which is enough to know the site properly — where the trees break the light in the afternoon, and how long the walk to the lawn really takes. I am also a recommended supplier at Chippenham Park, where the gardens give you somewhere new to stand every hour of the day.

That is depth in two places rather than a passing knowledge of twenty, and I would rather tell you which it is. Where I do not know a venue I go and walk it beforehand, at the hour your ceremony falls, and speak to the coordinator well before the morning of.
