Berkshire weddings are already part of my year. I would happily make it a habit.
Country houses in their own parkland, an easy run off the M4, and a county I have photographed once and would like to photograph a great deal more.
The approach
Documentary wedding photography in Berkshire. Nothing staged.
I photograph the day as it actually happens, quietly, from close enough to hear the joke and far enough not to be in it. No group-photo marathon and nothing staged: a short family list, a few relaxed portraits with gentle direction, and the rest exactly as it happens.
Being straight with you
Experience that travels well.
I have photographed in Berkshire once, at Easthampstead Park, and I am not going to dress that up into years of it. A photographer who claims local expertise he has not earned is not worth booking.
What carries over is everything that is not geography: nearly a thousand weddings of reading a room, absorbing a running order that has slipped by forty minutes, and knowing which five minutes of the day actually matter. Where I do not know a venue I go and walk it beforehand, at the hour your ceremony falls, and speak to the coordinator well before the morning of.
I photograph the whole day, from the quiet bit in the morning to the dancefloor. Nobody is counting hours, because I do not sell them.
I stay nearby the night before, so I am on site early and rested. The drive is never on your invoice.

The sun sets around 9.25pm in late June, 7.20pm in mid-September and 3.55pm in December.
