Fowey Hall Wedding Photographer
A Victorian mansion above the Fowey estuary, said to have inspired Toad Hall. Relaxed, documentary photography, £2,000 all in.

A note on the photos: I have not photographed a wedding at Fowey Hall yet, so as your Fowey Hall wedding photographer I am showing pictures from other weddings of mine. When I photograph one here, they will be replaced.
What a Fowey Hall wedding photographer is working with
Fowey Hall stands above the town and estuary of Fowey on the south Cornish coast. It was built in 1899 as a family home for Charles Hanson, and Kenneth Grahame, who often stayed there, is believed to have based Toad Hall in The Wind in the Willows on it.
Today it is a family-friendly country house hotel, and weddings centre on the Garden Room, with the house, terraces and lawns for drinks and portraits.

The spaces at Fowey Hall
The Garden Room is licensed for ceremonies of up to 120, seats around 90 for the wedding breakfast and holds around 150 in the evening. The terraces and lawns give you room for drinks, games and groups.
Fowey itself, with its harbour and narrow streets, is a few minutes away and makes a lovely setting for a quick walk of portraits in the evening.

The rings.

With the littlest guests.
How I photograph a Fowey Hall wedding
Fowey Hall sits above the estuary and has a playful, storybook feel. A Fowey Hall wedding photographer should enjoy that: the grand rooms, the gardens and the families who come to stay.
As your Fowey Hall wedding photographer I use the Garden Room’s light for the ceremony and take you out into the gardens for portraits with the estuary behind you.

Golden hour.

And the dancing.
Planning your Fowey Hall wedding photography
Family-friendly hotels mean lots of children at the wedding, which I love: some of the best photos of the day are the small guests. Plan a short evening walk down towards the estuary for golden hour.

Straight answers
Kenneth Grahame was a regular visitor, and the house is widely believed to have inspired Toad Hall in The Wind in the Willows.
The Garden Room takes up to 120 for a ceremony, around 90 for the wedding breakfast and around 150 in the evening.
It is £2,000 for the whole day, with nothing added on: no hour limits, at least 800 edited photos, a first set of 100+ the next morning, drone shots where the venue allows and an online gallery to share. I am based in Cornwall, so there is no travel charge.
Not at all, you are in good company: most of my couples feel the same. I give a little direction when it helps and let everything else happen naturally.
