A note on the photos: I have not photographed a wedding at Polperro yet, so as your Polperro wedding photographer I am showing pictures from other weddings of mine. When I photograph one here, they will be replaced.
What a Polperro wedding photographer is working with
Polperro is one of the prettiest fishing villages in Cornwall: a tight little harbour, narrow lanes and cottages stacked up the hillside, with the coast path running out along the cliffs either side. It sits on the south coast between Looe and Fowey.
Most couples marrying near Polperro choose one of the venues in the countryside around it, such as Trenderway, a collection of restored 18th-century farm buildings in 200 acres of wooded farmland a mile or two inland, or Tredudwell Manor, an 18th-century house towards Fowey. Then they head into the village or onto the cliffs for photographs.

Where to have a wedding near Polperro
Barn and farm venues inland give you space, gardens and shelter from the weather. Country houses give you a more classic day. Either way, the harbour and the cliffs are only minutes away for portraits.
The village itself is busy in summer, so for harbour photos I plan for early evening, when the day visitors have gone and the light comes down over the water.

How I photograph a Polperro wedding
Polperro is a working harbour village with narrow lanes, so a Polperro wedding photographer needs to travel light and know where the light is. Morning sun sits low over the cottages, and by late afternoon the harbour walls glow warm.

Planning your Polperro wedding photography
If you want photos in the village, go in the early evening and keep it short: the lanes are narrow and parking is tight, so it works best as a quick walk from a car drop-off. The coast path above the harbour is quieter and just as beautiful.
