A note on the photos: I have not photographed a wedding at Rockbeare Manor yet, so as your Rockbeare Manor wedding photographer I am showing pictures from other weddings of mine. When I photograph one here, they will be replaced.

What a Rockbeare Manor wedding photographer is working with

Rockbeare Manor was built in 1760 for a wool merchant and banker, and enlarged around 1820. Today it is an exclusive-use wedding venue just outside Exeter, with a contemporary feel inside a grand old house.

Ceremonies can be in the Adam-style Dining Room for up to 100 or out on the Terrace, and the Ballroom takes up to 160 for the wedding breakfast. Thirteen bedrooms mean your closest people can stay.

A light-filled ballroom, a terrace in the sun and the whole house to yourselves.

Photographing a Rockbeare Manor wedding

The Ballroom is bright with tall windows, which is lovely for natural photos of the speeches and the room at its best. The Dining Room is more intimate, with a real sense of history.

Outside, the grounds and the Terrace give you easy portrait spots a minute from your guests.

How I photograph a Rockbeare Manor wedding

Rockbeare Manor runs smoothly: a ceremony in the Adam-style Dining Room or on the Terrace, then a bright Ballroom for dinner. A Rockbeare Manor wedding photographer here can stay unobtrusive because the rooms flow so easily.

As your Rockbeare Manor wedding photographer I use the Ballroom’s tall windows for natural photographs of the speeches and slip out to the grounds with you for ten minutes before sunset.

Planning your Rockbeare Manor wedding photography

Keep twenty minutes free before sunset for the grounds. If you are thinking about an outdoor ceremony on the Terrace, ask about the wet weather plan in the Dining Room.
