My journey as a wedding photographer took me back to the beautiful Apton Hall Wedding Venue in Essex this past July, where I had the privilege of capturing Rosie and Danny’s unforgettable summer wedding. Apton Hall, with its blend of rustic charm and elegant modern features, provided the perfect setting for their celebration. The venue’s diverse spaces, from the beautifully restored barns to the picturesque courtyard, offered endless opportunities for stunning photography.
The summer weather enhanced the beauty of Apton Hall Wedding Venue, with the venue’s gardens bathed in warm, golden light. This allowed me to capture those truly magical moments, especially during the golden hour, when the light created a soft, romantic atmosphere. The weather was perfect for a summer wedding, with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze. Rosie and Danny exchanged their vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony, with the Apton Hall courtyard providing a stunning backdrop.

I had seen Matt’s work before we even got engaged and knew I would want to book him when that time came! Photographing an Apton Hall wedding
Rosie and Danny’s July wedding showed Apton Hall at its summer best. They said their vows outdoors in the Courtyard under clear blue skies, then the New Barn hosted the meal, speeches and first dance. The old brickwork and timber beams catch the light beautifully, and golden hour in the gardens gave us soft, warm portraits. The outdoor spaces also meant plenty of easy, natural photos of guests enjoying the summer evening.

Yes. The Courtyard gazebo is licensed for outdoor ceremonies of up to 180 guests, and the Walled Garden for up to 100. Rosie and Danny married in the Courtyard.

Yes. The couple stay in the Dovecot honeymoon suite, and there are seven guest rooms in the Coachhouse.
