It’s very rare for me to accept a wedding booking without meeting the clients beforehand but within 10 seconds of speaking with Grace and Chip over Skype I knew we’d be fine.
Grace and Chip are truly lovely people and a great couple. Their undoubted love for each other shines through everything else. I felt honoured that they entrusted me to capture and document their big day. Naturally, I’m also delighted that they were so happy with the images I delivered.

The Granary Barns in Cambridgeshire is a charming and rustic wedding venue that offers couples a beautiful setting for their special day. In August 2018, I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at the venue, and it was truly a romantic and magical occasion.
The couple, Grace & Chip, were high school sweethearts who had been together for over a decade. They chose the Granary Barns for its beautiful countryside setting and rustic charm, and the venue did not disappoint. The ceremony took place at a local church, which was decorated with beautiful flowers and foliage, creating a romantic and intimate atmosphere.

We started the day with Jack (2nd Shooter) covering the groom preparation whilst I was with girls for the Bridal festivities. I was also lucky enough to be joined by the brilliantly talented Philip Smith Visuals on videography duty.
As the ceremony began and Grace walked down the aisle in a stunning dress, accompanied by her father, Chip couldn’t take his eyes off her. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows, surrounded by their family and friends, and the love between them was palpable.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a beautiful reception in the Granary Barns’ beautiful barn. The barn was decorated with beautiful fairy lights, and the tables were adorned with horse racing related centre pieces gorgeous floral arrangements that complemented the rustic charm of the venue perfectly.
As the evening progressed, the newlyweds took to the dancefloor for their first dance, and the room was filled with love and joy as their guests joined in. The evening was filled with laughter, music, and celebration, and it was clear that Grace and Chip were surrounded by an incredible group of family and friends who loved and supported them. A fun filled day full of celebrations, emotional speeches and lots of happy faces followed, culminating in a party to end all parties! As you’ll see in the images below, these wedding guests knew how to party! This Granary Barns Wedding was the one you wanted to be at.

Overall, Grace and Chip’s wedding day at the Granary Barns was a truly romantic and magical occasion. From the beautiful ceremony in the courtyard to the charming reception in the barn, the day was filled with love, joy, and rustic charm. It was an honor to photograph their special day and capture the moments that they will cherish for a lifetime. If you’re looking for a romantic and rustic wedding venue in Cambridgeshire, the Granary Barns is definitely worth considering.

Photographing a Granary Barns wedding
At Grace and Chip’s August wedding, Jack, my second shooter, covered the groom’s preparations while I stayed with Grace, so both mornings are in the story. In the evening the barn did the work: fairy lights overhead, horse-racing centrepieces on the tables, and a dancefloor that filled fast. That warm light inside the barn is where the party pictures come from, and it kept going right to the end of the night.
