A note on the photos: I have not photographed a wedding at The Rosevine yet, so as your Rosevine wedding photographer I am showing pictures from other weddings of mine. When I photograph one here, they will be replaced.

What a Rosevine wedding photographer is working with

The Rosevine sits above Porthcurnick Beach near Portscatho, on the quiet Roseland Peninsula. It is a small hotel of apartments and studios with lounges, a restaurant and gardens looking out to sea, and the beach is at the end of the lane.

For weddings you can take the whole place on exclusive use, marry and eat in the house with up to 40 guests, or put a tipi or marquee on the lawn for up to 120.

Photographing a wedding at The Rosevine

Smaller weddings happen in the house with the sea behind you. Larger ones move out to a tipi or marquee on the lawn, which makes for a lovely relaxed evening with the garden lit up.

The best portraits are down on the beach or along the coast path at golden hour, a couple of minutes from the gardens.

How I photograph a Rosevine wedding

The Rosevine is a house by the sea on the Roseland, with the beach at the end of the lane. A Rosevine wedding photographer should make the most of both: the house for the morning, the sand for the evening.

As your Rosevine wedding photographer I keep the walk to the beach short and well timed, and with a tipi or marquee on the lawn I photograph the party with the sea just beyond it.

Planning your The Rosevine wedding photography

Check the tide and sunset for your date if you want beach portraits, and keep twenty minutes free for them. Exclusive use is available outside the peak summer season, so ask the venue about dates early.

Straight answers

How many guests can The Rosevine take?

Up to 40 in the house, or up to around 120 with a tipi or marquee on the lawn.

Can we have beach photos at The Rosevine?

Yes, the beach is at the end of the lane. Golden hour on the sand is the best part of the evening.

How much is a Rosevine wedding photographer?

It is £2,000 for the whole day, with nothing added on: no hour limits, at least 800 edited photos, a first set of 100+ the next morning, drone shots where the venue allows and an online gallery to share. I am based in Cornwall, so there is no travel charge.

We hate having our photo taken. Is that a problem?

Not at all, you are in good company: most of my couples feel the same. I give a little direction when it helps and let everything else happen naturally.
