What a Compton Verney wedding photographer is working with

Compton Verney is an 18th-century mansion remodelled by Robert Adam, now an art gallery set in Capability Brown parkland with a lake, between Stratford-upon-Avon and Banbury.

Ceremonies can be in the restored Chapel, the Adam Hall or outside on the portico and courtyard, each for up to 100. The Adam Hall seats 120 for the wedding breakfast and takes 150 in the evening.

Photographing a Compton Verney wedding

The Adam Hall is elegant and bright, and the Chapel is intimate and full of character, so ceremony photos feel very different depending on which you choose.

Outside, the lake, the bridges and the parkland give you beautiful portraits in every season.

How I photograph a Compton Verney wedding

Compton Verney is an art gallery in a Robert Adam mansion, with a lake and a Capability Brown park. A Compton Verney wedding photographer can work with the Chapel, the Adam Hall or the portico for the ceremony.

As your Compton Verney wedding photographer I take you down towards the lake for portraits and photograph the Adam Hall as it changes from wedding breakfast to party.

Planning your Compton Verney wedding photography

Keep fifteen minutes free before sunset for a walk towards the lake. For an outdoor ceremony on the portico, ask about the wet weather plan.

Just up the road, I photographed Louise and George’s wedding at Primrose Hill Farm near Banbury, and there is a guide to The Great Barn at Aynho too.
