A note on the photos: I have not photographed a wedding at Kirtlington Park yet, so as your Kirtlington Park wedding photographer I am showing pictures from other weddings of mine. When I photograph one here, they will be replaced.

What a Kirtlington Park wedding photographer is working with

Kirtlington Park was built in the 1740s and is a Grade I listed Palladian house set in parkland laid out by Capability Brown, between Oxford and Bicester.

It is a private home hired exclusively for weddings. Ceremonies take up to 150, the Great Hall seats around 145 for the wedding breakfast, and bigger weddings use a marquee in the grounds. There is a bridal suite for getting ready.

The state rooms are elegant and full of window light, and the Great Hall is a wonderful room for the speeches.

Outside, the parkland rolls away from the house with old trees and open views, perfect for relaxed portraits without walking far.

How I photograph a Kirtlington Park wedding

Kirtlington Park is a private Palladian house in Capability Brown parkland, and a Kirtlington Park wedding photographer gets both: elegant state rooms inside and rolling park outside.

As your Kirtlington Park wedding photographer I use the Great Hall’s light for the speeches and take you into the park for ten minutes at the end of the day.

Planning your Kirtlington Park wedding photography

Keep fifteen minutes free before sunset for the parkland. With a marquee, ask about where it will sit so we can plan the best light.

Just up the road, I photographed Louise and George’s wedding at Primrose Hill Farm near Banbury, and there is a guide to The Great Barn at Aynho too.
