Braxted Park at a glance

Braxted Park is a Georgian house, built in 1750, on a 500-acre estate at Great Braxted in Essex, hired as an exclusive-use wedding venue. Its restored walled garden, with a fountain, a reflecting pool and the Knott Garden at its heart, is one of the outdoor ceremony settings; Woodlands is another. Indoors, civil ceremonies are held in the Orangery, and there is a parish church in the grounds. The Pavilion inside the walled garden takes up to 350 guests. The Garden Cottage is kept for the couple, and guests stay in the converted stable block.

Susannah & Daryl: Beautiful Outdoor Wedding at Braxted Park in October

I had the pleasure of photographing Susannah and Daryl’s beautiful outdoor Braxted Park October Wedding. The couple chose the stunning walled garden for their ceremony, which created a romantic and intimate atmosphere for their special day.

After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a drinks reception on the lawn, while I took some romantic candid photos of the happy couple. The autumn colours in the background created a beautiful backdrop for the pictures. As the sun began to set, we moved inside for the reception, which was decorated with an elegant theme. Susannah and Daryl’s wedding was a perfect example of how an outdoor wedding can be just as romantic and beautiful as an indoor wedding, if not more so.

The speeches were emotional and heartfelt, with the groom thanking his new wife for making him the happiest man alive. The guests were treated to a delicious meal, and the band got everyone up and dancing until the early hours.

A fantastic couple who I immediately bonded with, Susannah and Daryl are a fun and outgoing couple with brilliant personalities and this Braxted Park October wedding was a true reflection of them. I wish them the very best in the future and all the luck in the world.

Braxted Park October Wedding

“At Braxted Park, discover the intimacy and warmth of a family home meets the opulent grandeur of a house steeped in history. The tree-lined drive and view of the Georgian mansion standing proud at its head will amaze, but get closer and the walled garden and secluded spaces at the heart of this magnificent 500-acre estate will certainly wow”

Photographing an autumn wedding at Braxted Park

Susannah and Daryl married outdoors in the walled garden in October, which made for an intimate ceremony with the old brick walls all round them. Afterwards guests had drinks on the lawn while I took candid photographs of the two of them, with the autumn colours behind. As the sun began to set we moved inside for the reception, the speeches and a band that had everyone dancing until the early hours.
