Claire & Nick: A Braxted Park September Wedding

The Braxted Park September Wedding of Claire and Nick in 2019. A fantastic couple who I immediately bonded with in our first meeting. Claire and Nick are a brilliantly outgoing pair and this Braxted Park September wedding was a true reflection of them. I wish them the very best in the future and all the luck in the world.

Braxted Park at a glance

Braxted Park is a country estate at Great Braxted, near Witham in Essex, with a Georgian house built in 1750 and 500 acres of woodland and parkland. It has its own parish church in the grounds, dating back to 1042 and a lakeside walk from the house, so a church ceremony and the reception can all happen in one place. Civil ceremonies are held in the Orangery, the walled garden or Woodlands. The Pavilion takes up to 350 guests, and the estate is hired exclusively.

“At Braxted Park, discover the intimacy and warmth of a family home meets the opulent grandeur of a house steeped in history. The tree-lined drive and view of the Georgian mansion standing proud at its head will amaze, but get closer and the walled garden and secluded spaces at the heart of this magnificent 500-acre estate will certainly wow”

Kind words:

Having just received our wedding photographs, I couldn’t recommend Matt enough. From start to finish it was lovely to work with Matt – he has a warm and friendly nature and put myself and my husband at ease throughout the day. He captured our day amazingly and looking through the pictures brings the day to life again. Beautiful shots from an amazing photographer that we’ll treasure forever.

Photographing a September wedding at Braxted Park

Claire and Nick married in September 2019, and they are a brilliantly outgoing pair, which shows in every frame. Their day included a church ceremony, then the celebration moved to the estate for drinks, dinner and Piano DJ in the evening. I photographed it as it happened and stayed out of the way, so their friends and family could just be themselves and the pictures could tell the day the way it went.

Braxted Park wedding questions

Can you have a church wedding at Braxted Park?

Yes. The estate has its own parish church, dating back to 1042, a short lakeside walk from the house and gardens, so there is no transport to arrange between ceremony and reception.

How many guests can Braxted Park hold?

The Pavilion holds up to 350 guests, and outdoor dining is possible for up to 400. The estate is exclusive use.

Where are the best photo spots at Braxted Park?

Claire and Nick’s day moved from a church ceremony to the estate for drinks and dinner. Across my Braxted weddings, the walled garden, the Orangery and the parkland are the places I use most.

How much does a Braxted Park wedding photographer cost?

My price is one all-in fee of £2,500 for the whole day, with UK travel included, 800+ edited photos and 100+ previews the following day. See everything that’s included.

Have you photographed weddings at Braxted Park before?

Yes. Claire and Nick’s September 2019 wedding is one of nine Braxted Park weddings on this site, and their review is on this page.

Here’s the story of their day…
