What a Crockwell Farm wedding photographer is working with

Crockwell Farm in Eydon, near Daventry, is a family-run wedding venue in rural Northamptonshire. Couples get exclusive use over three days, so there is time to set up, celebrate and relax the morning after.

Ceremonies can be in the Vaulted Barn, with its oak beams, high ceiling and candlelit window alcoves, for up to 90 guests, or in the permanent marquee, which takes up to 200 for the ceremony and the reception. There are pretty gardens and nine ensuite bedrooms on site.

Three days, a candlelit barn and your favourite people all in one place.

Photographing a Crockwell Farm wedding

I have photographed a wedding at Crockwell, and it is a lovely place to work: the Vaulted Barn is warm and full of character, and the candles in the window alcoves give beautiful light without needing flash.

The gardens are close to everything, so portraits and family photos are quick, and the countryside around gives you big skies at golden hour.

How I photograph a Crockwell Farm wedding

I have photographed at Crockwell, and the Vaulted Barn is a lovely room to work in: oak beams, high ceilings and candles in the window alcoves. A Crockwell Farm wedding photographer gets beautiful light here without needing flash.

As your Crockwell Farm wedding photographer I also make the most of three days of exclusive use, because the day before and the morning after are often worth photographing.

Planning your Crockwell Farm wedding photography

With three days of exclusive use, it is worth thinking about photos of the day before: guests arriving, a relaxed dinner, the setting up. Keep fifteen minutes free before sunset on the wedding day.

Nearby, there are guides to The Great Barn at Aynho and Compton Verney, and I photographed Louise and George’s wedding at Primrose Hill Farm near Banbury.
